After years of working with primary school families and educators to help every student reach their potential, quantitive and qualitative data showed all students need to master specific social-emotional skills to be successful at school. So, in close collaboration with kindergarten and first-grade teachers, I developed an intensive social-emotional program to front-load our youngest learners and to build capacity within these educators to teach these skills. Early results are promising with test scores increasing, attendance improving and teachers reporting increased instructional time due to a decrease in behavioral challenges. Below are the programs:
